8 Katherine Street is a three-bedroom terraced house, which was originally built between 1950-1966. Once purchased by ourselves, we began renovations which were completed in 2024.
The property itself includes: three bedrooms, a living space, a kitchen, a dining room and one bathroom. This property was designed interiorly by ourselves in which we decided to create a more minimalistic feel with the grey cool tones with hints of modern aspects.
The kitchen was created by our team and Howdens Joinery. The kitchen is fitted with dove grey cabinets and a marbled black countertop which keeps the atmosphere of the kitchen feeling cosy but with hints of modern aspects. The washer, dryer and fridge-freezer are fully integrated which allows the kitchen to appear clean-cut and minimalistic. It was also decided to extend the countertop to create a breakfast bar as a functional eating space but reduces the space taken up from the likes of a dining table.
The dove grey tones are complimented throughout the rest of the house due to the continuation of matching skirting boards and doors. The doors themselves are newly installed along with anthracite handles and hinges to incorporate those modern aspects further.
Along with this, anthracite carpets were fitted throughout to create a balance between grey-scaled colour scheme.
Finally, within the bathroom slightly darker grey tiling was used for the most part but on one of the wall a mix of shades of grey were used within the tiling to brighten up the space.
Throughout the property, all new plumbing and heating systems have been installed including: a new boiler, radiators and all pipe work. Plus, full new rewire which involves; a consumer unit, spotlights in all rooms and hallways. Also, recently redone plaster work, damp proofing and skimming all walls and ceilings. Then, all joinery was completed for example: Doorframes, Doors, Ironmongery, Skirting boards, Architrave, Kitchen and Flooring.
8 Katherine Street is currently being rented out at a price of £450 per month and is valued at £60,000.
