265 Hawthorn Road is a two-bedroom terraced house, which was originally built between 1900-1929. Once purchased by ourselves, we began renovations which were completed in 2023.

The property itself includes: two bedrooms, a living space, a kitchen, one bathroom and a stair cupboard. This property was redesigned interiorly by one of young apprentices alongside our team which resulted in a more modern interior creating a house which is both tidy and functional but allows comfort through the freedom of refurnishing.

The kitchen was created by our team and Howdens joinery. When discussing the design, we tried to make the little space as functional as possible, through trial and error we finalised in a modern monochromatic space, complete with essential appliances and an integrated fridge freezer. We also added a breakfast bar to create a practical area to enjoy meals without taking up space in other areas of the house. 

In the living area, we installed and inbuilt cabinet area on the television wall, to create an accent wall which compliments the skirting boards and doors as the anthracite tone can flow through all aspects of the home. Complimenting this, grey carpets were fitted throughout the house allowing the colour scheme to both blend and subtly stand out.

The bedrooms were kept simplistic to allow the homeowner to decorate the space if they please but also carried on the aesthetic from the rest of the house.

Finally, the property was fitted with one bathroom (downstairs), which is composed of two different tiles (dark grey and grey), this allowed the bathroom to appear abridged and thus creating a homely feel.

Throughout the property, all new plumbing and heating systems have been installed including: a new boiler, radiators and all pipe work. Plus, full new rewire which involves; a consumer unit, spotlights in all rooms and hallways. Also, recently redone plaster work, damp proofing and skimming all walls and ceilings. Then, all joinery was completed for example: Doorframes, Doors, Ironmongery, Skirting boards, Architrave, Kitchen and Flooring. 

265 Hawthorn street is currently being rented out at a price of £550 per month and is valued at £75,000.
